WHY PTTI (POKHARA TECHNICAL TRAINING INSTITUTE)?
Nepal in the phase of development, here are lots of mega projects to be constructed and some are under construction. The importance of engineering, science and technology for a country like Nepal will be increasing further with increased investments in infrastructure, hydropower and renewable energy, climate change mitigation and adaptation as well as in such areas as that may provide a path to economic recovery and sustainable development. So we need lots of construction Engineers who are highly skilled in technology and well educated. Every year Nepal gets around 5000 new engineers in the field so that they could perform their best of knowledge and technology. But the education they had always stay as the marks secured in the papers and an engineer at least need 1-2 years to be familiar with the technology in the real world of work. With demographic shifts in development and production, working practices are changing fast. Thus, it is widely felt that a student graduating with an engineering degree is far from being a fully fledged professional. Besides, in addition to essential technical skills, engineers are expected to have effective communication, business and managerial skills, team working and leadership abilities, ethical and environmental awareness, and so on. This is all due to they are not much familiar with the latest technology, softwares and project management practice we use in the engineering field. So we feel that a different kind of knowledge then they takes at college is required for those students so that an engineer when complete their studies are able to give their best performance. Beside this we had a major problem of having very little skilled man powers in the field of construction industry. Our construction industry is always insecure and the construction is following the traditional construction technique which always has greater risk. Also we had a major problem of unemployment in our country and thousands of labors go to abroad in the Arabian countries in the search of job. If they go there with some skills then sure their income will be raised and even the remittance of the country will rise too which is best on both respects. Our Program is a combination of Civil and Computer engineering courses which includes : Computer training & Programming, Civil Engineering software application training & Architectural structure design, Estimate, Survey, Mapping, Valuation, Supervision and various engineering consulting services
